New staff at Newcastle Urology

We recently welcomed three new senior members of staff to the department at the Freeman Hospital. Miss Joanna Noble is the new Directorate Manager for Urology and Renal Services. She previously worked as a departmental manager in Worthing, but was keen to return to the North East, having been an undergraduate student at Newcastle University. Her predecessor, Mrs Pam Yanez, recently retired after more than 40 years of service within the NHS. We wish her well in her retirement.

We have appointed two new consultants, Mr Jonathan Aning and Mr Christian Bach (please see their profiles in Meet the Team). They have both moved from Bristol to join us in Newcastle. They both specialise in cancer surgery and are keen to further develop the DaVinci robotic service. They are both based at the Freeman Hospital, but Mr Bach will also work at Wansbeck Hospital, while Mr Aning will have clinical sessions at both Wansbeck Hospital and Berwick Infirmary.
