The Newcastle Urology Fund
The Newcastle Urology Fund, part of Newcastle Hospitals Charity, supports Newcastle Urology based at the Freeman Hospital. Charitable donations complement NHS resources and enable us to keep pace with continual developments in medical equipment and care, allowing us to achieve things more quickly than would otherwise have been possible. They also allow us to purchase little extra comforts to reduce stresses and anxieties, and engage patients, keeping them active and encouraging social interactivity with creative tools.
Newcastle Hospitals Charity are extremely grateful for the many contributions that they receive, irrespective of value, as they provide an indication of the standard of service provided by our local hospitals and the esteem in which they are held. Such support helps us to ensure that we do not just maintain the current level of service provided but enhance and improve treatment and care of future patients.
The aim of the Newcastle Urology Fund is to improve the care of patients suffering with urological conditions. The fund will provide extra comforts, equipment, and services above and beyond what the Newcastle upon Tyne NHS Foundation Trust provides. We aim to do this through:
- Investment in research
- Training
- Information provisions for patients

Single Donation
Please use the attached form if you wish to make a one-off donation. Remember to make full use of the Gift Aid Scheme as this makes your contribution go even further.
Donate Online
To donate online, please visit the Newcastle Hospitals Charity website. Choose ‘area of must urgent need’ and in the message box, please write ‘Newcastle Urology Fund’.
A Gift in Your Will
After providing for their loved ones, many people make a gift to their local hospital in recognition of personal treatment, or that provided to a relative/friend. Help maintain and improve services at Newcastle Urology for future generations, by remembering to include us in your Will. Help and advice on appropriate wording is available from our Charitable Funds office on 0191 223 1434.
Cheque Donation
To make a donation by cheque, please make cheques payable to ‘Newcastle Hospitals Charity’ using the attached form. Please write Newcastle Urology Fund on the back of the cheque. Cheques can be submitted by hand or posted to Charitable Funds Office, Peacock Hall, Royal Victoria Infirmary, Queen Victoria Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4LP.
